The TAE40116: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is one of the most professional, comprehensive and practical certified short courses that I have taken. The contents covered a range of topics from identifying LLN requirements to designing and testing competency-based assessment instruments, which I could immediately apply in my work as an educator and learning facilitator. The academic rigour was intensive, which require deep focus and plenty of persistence; with a healthy balance of knowledge and application of practical trailing activities. The process took slightly longer than anticipated but the time spent on self-reflecting on my current practices was certainly invaluable. The program has impacted how I prepare my training materials and assessments in consideration of contextualising my learners’ needs.
